Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are an agreement between you and Boros ("Boros", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you buy a key, redeem a free key, or use our software.
If you don't agree with them, don't buy or use a key.
1. What you are buying
A Boros key is a time-limited licence to use our software. You are not buying the software itself, and you receive no ownership of it or of any part of it.
Keys are sold per platform. A key for one platform unlocks every game we currently support on that platform, including games we add during your licence period. It does not grant access to any other platform.
A "lifetime" key lasts for the operational lifetime of the platform it was bought for, not for your lifetime. If we permanently discontinue a platform, lifetime keys for it end with it.
2. Your key
Keys bind to the first device that uses them. This is how we prevent one key being shared across many people, and it means a key is not freely portable between machines.
You may request a hardware reset if you change or rebuild your device. We allow a reasonable number of resets and may decline requests that look like sharing.
- Keep your key private. Anyone holding it can use your licence.
- Do not share, lend, resell or publish keys.
- We are not obliged to replace a key that you exposed publicly.
3. Free keys
We sometimes offer free keys in exchange for completing an offer through work.ink, a third-party service. Free keys are shorter and are provided as a courtesy, not as an entitlement.
Free keys are rate-limited per person. We use your IP address and a random identifier stored in your browser to enforce those limits, and we may refuse a free key without giving a reason.
We do not control work.ink's offers or the advertisers within them. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.
The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Prices can change at any time, but a change never affects a purchase already made.
Your key is delivered as soon as payment clears — usually within seconds, occasionally a few minutes if your provider is slow to confirm.
5. Refunds
Keys are digital goods delivered immediately, so once a key has been issued and used it generally cannot be refunded.
We will refund a key that was never delivered, or one that does not work for a reason within our control and that we cannot fix within a reasonable time.
We will not refund because a game updated, because a build entered an updating period, because you were banned in a game, or because you changed your mind after using the key.
Depending on where you live you may have statutory refund rights that these terms cannot remove. Nothing here limits those.
If you raise a chargeback instead of contacting us, we will revoke the key associated with that payment and may refuse future sales.
6. Availability and detection status
We publish a detection status for every platform and game. "Undetected" reflects our honest assessment at the time it was set — it is not a guarantee, and it can change without warning.
Anti-cheat systems update constantly. A build can be detected between our check and your session. When that happens we mark it detected and work on an update; you should stop using it immediately.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Updating periods, maintenance and outages are a normal part of this product, and time lost to them does not extend your licence unless we say otherwise.
7. Your risk
Using our software will usually breach the terms of service of the games it targets. Doing so can get your game account suspended or permanently banned, and can result in the loss of anything you paid for in that game.
You accept that risk entirely. We are not responsible for any action a game publisher takes against you, and a ban is not grounds for a refund.
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you live.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish our software or your key.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, crack or attempt to bypass our licensing.
- Use our software to access, damage or disrupt systems you have no right to.
- Use it to harass, threaten or target another person.
- Attempt to obtain free keys by automated means or by evading our rate limits.
- Charge back a payment you actually made and used.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or revoke a key, and block a device, if we believe these terms have been broken. Where the breach is minor and unintentional we will normally warn you first.
Revocation for a serious breach — sharing, resale, chargeback fraud, abuse of others — does not entitle you to a refund of the remaining time.
You can stop using our software at any time. Keys are not cancellable for a partial refund.
10. Liability
Our software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms.
Where we are liable to you, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the current version always governs your use from the moment it is published.
If a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Wyoming, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except where consumer law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
